Vigna
Ca’ del Rosso
Vines planted in 1989. Roots deep in the blue clays of the Collina di Agello. Three years of ageing before the bottle.
Vigna Ca’ del Rosso is born from a vineyard planted in 1989 — the historic estate acquired by the Montanari family as an expansion of the original core. Vines over thirty years old, with roots descending deep into the blue and red clays of the Collina di Agello, north-facing. A long maceration, ageing in tonneau, six months in cement, eighteen in bottle. A slow journey, because time is the ingredient this wine cannot do without.
Podere Ca’ del Rosso.
1989 — over thirty years
of roots in the clays.
Podere Ca’ del Rosso was acquired by the Montanari family in 1989, as a natural extension of the original core. Both estates sit on the Collina di Agello, along the right bank of the Marzeno stream — the same hillside, two slopes, two stories.
The vineyard from which this wine is born faces north, between 120 and 180 metres. The exposure slows ripening and preserves acidity — two fundamental characteristics for a wine designed to evolve over time.
Current vintages available: 2019 and 2020. The 2021 will be released in September 2026.
