Crepe
The gateway to Marzeno. Direct, territorial, built to drink well and age even better.
Crepe is the wine that built Ca’ di Sopra’s identity — since the first vintage in 2006, released every year on 1st September. Sangiovese in purity from both estates, 8 days of maceration, 6 months in cement. A wine without frills that tells the Marzeno directly, without mediation.
Available in three formats — 375ml, 750ml and 1500ml — because Crepe is a wine for every occasion: a half bottle for a weekday dinner, a magnum for a celebration.
Since 2006.
The wine that built
Ca’ di Sopra.
Crepe and Remel are the two wines with which Ca’ di Sopra built its commercial identity from 2006. Two different wines — one in purity, one a blend — that tell the same hillside from opposite perspectives.
Crepe is Marzeno Sangiovese in its most direct form: no wood, just cement. A wine that respects the vintage and tells it without filters — which is why it is also the best way to follow the evolution of the territory year by year.
Crepe — the cracks
in the clay soil
in summer drought.
In Italian, crepe are cracks — the fissures that open in the clay soil of the Marzeno during the summer drought. A geological sign that tells of a particular terroir: compact, mineral, impermeable clays that force the roots to descend in search of water.
A name that is a territorial declaration: this wine comes from here, from these soils, from these cracks in the clay.
