Roncodipacì

Merlot · Red Wine · Not every year

Merlot in purity from the Ronco di Pacì. Released only when the vineyard gives its best.

Roncodipacì is born from a single vineyard at Podere Ca’ del Rosso — the Ronco di Pacì, west-facing on red clays. Merlot in purity, 30-day maceration, 12 months in barriques. A wine that does not follow a fixed calendar: it is released only in the vintages when the vineyard has delivered its finest fruit.

Eleven vintages since 2009. Not every year — and this makes every bottle a precise choice, not a routine.

Ronco di Pacì.
Merlot on the red clays
of Ca’ del Rosso.

The Ronco di Pacì is the Merlot vineyard of Podere Ca’ del Rosso — west-facing, on red clays that give the Merlot its natural softness and roundness. The same vineyard that supplies the Merlot for the Remel blend.

When the vintage allows, that same grape is vinified in purity — and becomes Roncodipacì. A wine born from the same hillside as the Sangiovese, but telling a different story: softer, more immediate, with silky tannins and a generous fruit character.

01
Manual harvest
Hand-picked from the Ronco di Pacì. Only in the finest vintages — when the vineyard has given its best.
02
30-day maceration
Long maceration to extract deep structure and colour. The Merlot of the Ronco di Pacì has thick skins and important extraction potential.
03
12 months in barriques
Ageing in barriques to integrate the wood and develop aromatic complexity. Small wood softens the tannins without masking the fruit.
04
In bottle
Bottle ageing before release. A mature Merlot, ready to drink but capable of further evolution.
